Prof. Dr. Pratschke has worked as head of the Department of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery and the Department of General, Visceral, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin since 2014. He has been awarded numerous German and international research prizes in the fields of organ transplantation and surgery and holds various board positions in the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT).
